1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Volunteer Clinton County (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, organization account holders, and administrators.

2. What the Service is

Volunteer Clinton County is a free online directory connecting residents of Clinton County, Pennsylvania with local nonprofits, schools, libraries, civic groups, faith communities, and other organizations seeking volunteers, board members, and donated goods. The Service is operated by Volunteer Clinton County.

The Service does not: process volunteer applications, conduct background checks, guarantee the accuracy or currency of any listing, or serve as an employer. The relationship is between you and the organization — we are a directory, not a placement agency.

3. User responsibilities

As a user (volunteer or prospective volunteer), you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
• Contact organizations directly and represent yourself honestly.
• Obtain any required clearances or documentation before beginning service.
• Not use the Service to harass, spam, or deceive organizations or other users.
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.

4. Organization responsibilities

Organizations that create accounts and post listings on this Service agree to:

• Provide truthful, accurate, and current information in all listings and profile information.
• Keep listings up to date and promptly remove or update listings that are no longer active or accurate.
• Conduct their own volunteer screening, orientation, and supervision. The directory is not a substitute for appropriate volunteer management practices.
• Comply with all applicable laws regarding the use of volunteers, including those related to background clearances, minimum age requirements, and workplace safety.
• Not post listings that are misleading, commercial, fundraising-only, partisan, religious-recruitment in nature, or otherwise contrary to our Posting Guidelines.

5. No warranties on listings

Listings are provided by third-party organizations. We review submissions before publication and periodically re-verify listings, but we cannot guarantee that any listing is current, accurate, complete, or suitable for your particular situation. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, safety, or quality of any volunteer opportunity listed on this Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. VOLUNTEER CLINTON COUNTY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Volunteer Clinton County shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or any volunteer activity you undertake as a result of using the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any organization account or remove any listing at our discretion, particularly if we determine that an account or listing violates these terms or our Posting Guidelines. We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected organizations. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to: repeated submission of inaccurate information, misrepresentation, violation of applicable law, or conduct harmful to users.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Clinton County, Pennsylvania.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
