"Multi-use" and "Hiking Only" Trail Stewards

Sproul State Forest is looking for volunteers to become trail stewards to reestablish/maintain the many miles of abandoned "multi-use" red blazed trails, and "hiking only" yellow blazed trails, within the district. We are looking for "multi-use" and "hiking only" stewards to adopt any hiking/multi-use trails in our district. Trail System Stewards traverse their assigned trails quarterly. This would include brushing, blazing, reporting downed trees, and benching any of the multi-use and hiking trails in the Sproul State Forest. Please note, only volunteers with chainsaw certifications may cut trees off of the trail. Volunteers, please call 5709236011 with your request to adopt a trail before performing any work.
